Charlotte Mason Habit Training
Habit training is how a Charlotte Mason school treats character as part of the day's work. Attention, obedience, truthfulness, and neatness are practiced in short lessons and outdoor time, not saved for a talk at assembly.
Mason treated habits as education, not extras. A child who learns to give full attention for a short span can change work before the mind dulls. That is why lessons stay short and why the teacher does not pile on busywork after the reading is done.
In a school you should see this in the timetable and the room, not only in a values poster. Copywork done carefully. Nature notebooks dated. Belongings put away. If the program talks about habits but runs a long worksheet block, the practice and the language are not matching.
Tour with method questions in hand, and use the vocabulary page when a term is new. The student guides hub will add practice notes for the child doing the work.
