What schools actually use
This site's sourced tags show Alveary on the school side and almost no Simply Charlotte Mason tags. That is not a quality ranking. It is a licensing and training fact: CMI sells Alveary into classrooms; SCM sells primarily into homes and co-ops.

Prep and coverage
Alveary's daily plans cover the year. You still obtain books. SCM's daily pages cover the subjects you bought. You can skip Individual Studies and keep enrichment; Alveary's membership is the whole plate.
Choose Alveary if you want one vendor for every subject and, especially, if you are a school or co-op that CMI will license. Choose SCM if you want to buy the feast in pieces and keep math or science from somewhere else.
A homeschool that later joins an Alveary co-op may run two systems for a year. That is messy. Ask the co-op which license families must hold before you buy SCM for the home days.

CMI's school application is not the family membership page. If you are an operator, do not check out as a homeschool and hope the license covers a classroom.
