Simply Charlotte Mason Enrichment Studies Volume 2 book list
Volume 2 keeps the same family hour with a new literature set, Longfellow, knitting, and the same habit and nature stack. SCM still marks each title SCM, library, or public domain. Use that split; ignore the urge to own every print.
The paid core
Enrichment Studies, Volume 2 plus Book of Centuries, nature journals, Laying Down the Rails, Laying Down the Rails for Children, knitting, hymns, Longfellow, and the language pack if you do not already own them from Volume 1.
Habit books and hymns do not need a second copy for Volume 2. Nature journals do if last year's book is full.
Read-alouds
Young group mixes public domain (A Little Princess, Understood Betsy, Five Children and It, Black Beauty, Alice) with library copies (Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little, The Borrowers). Middle group is the Ralph Moody sequence, mostly library. Older group is Watership Down plus public-domain Dickens and Scott.

What not to repurchase
If Volume 1 already bought the language pack, skip it here. Speaking Spanish does not reset because the enrichment volume number changed.
Ralph Moody's ranch books are a sequence. You can stop after Little Britches if the term is full. The list is a menu.
Watership Down is a long older-group read. It can be independent reading with weekly oral narration rather than a family sofa book.
Knitting materials are not in the video price. Budget yarn separately. Shipping $129; returns 60 days (checked 2026-09-06).
Longfellow can be one poem a week. You do not finish the booklet in a month.
The list
Volume 2 keeps the same family-style hour: picture study, music, poetry, handicraft, nature, and one read-aloud group. SCM's own list splits library copies from public-domain titles.
